hoppy easter

What an amazing weekend it was! We hosted Easter at our house with close friends. We enjoyed lots of laughter and great food. We each contributed a little something to the menu. It was such a delightful day!

The Easter Bunny came!!!

...It was definitely bitter sweet, as it was our last get together with our incredible group of friends. 

I will sob about that later in another post. I'm still kind of a mess over it.

I've been on hiatus! Our Nashy was on Spring Break, so I was doing my best to keep us all happy and busy.  Let's catch up...

The weather has been absolutely incredible lately... we've had some amazingly beautiful days...

Nashy has been working hard... 

We've spent time at the park with friends...Went to a birthday party that included bounce houses, a pinata and cupcakes!

We did some Spring cleaning...I had some help ;) 

new school

Yesterday Nash started a new school. He's been going to daycare for about a year now, since I was working. He thrives in a structured "school" environment. We decided that he would continue to go to school even though I am not working full time. We were so excited to start! It's part time and we get to bring our OWN food and drink. Bring on the organic lunches and alkaline water! This is a perfect fit!

The night before his first day, I got a call from his teacher. She said they were having their egg hunt the next day and that we needed to bring his Easter basket and 12 eggs filled with candy. I was so impressed that she went out of her way to let us know so he wouldn't feel left out. 

He had an amazing day and said it was so much fun! I am so beyond happy that he is HAPPY!

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY

We enjoyed the warm weather with great friends and a delicious BBQ! 

 (bacon cheddar cheeseburgers / the most amazing thing ever) 

Miss Jayne's first St. Patty's Day...She rocked the head band, and drank far too much milk.

This boy was all about the chalk, rolling in it and then rubbing it on his face. 

We ended the day with tractor rides in big boy unders.

Last night was a doozy. Both Nash and Jayne were up multiple (and by multiple I mean like 5 times, each). But this morning we are full of smiles and funnies! Every morning I am reminded of how absolutely grateful I am. All I have to do is see these faces. 

Gosh, I am so SO blessed.

weekend snapshot

Oh, what a GORGEOUS weekend it was! We were in tank tops basking in the sunshine. It warmed up to the mid 70's! We spent lots of time with friends, we hit up the park, and Nash got to ride his tractor (which has been out of commission in "daddy's workshop" for a while)

Friday night we hosted an impromptu taco night at our house. Which was so delish- and of course full of laughter and sarcasm, as always.

Saturday morning, Mr.G and I were greeted with early morning snuggles with both babies- such a treat!  Mr. G snuck out and returned with donuts! We hung around all morning, reading books, fixing things at Nash's workbench, and singing silly songs.

That night we headed to a friend's house for dinner and a bonfire. As I mentioned, the weather was perfect for it! Since, Bama will soon be in our rear view mirrors, we are spending most of our time with the people who have made it so amazing. Oh, how I will greatly miss nights like these.

Sunday morning consisted of coffee (thanks daylight savings) and a "big" breakfast. I whipped up fluffy eggs, bacon, and pancakes. We sat around Nash's tiny table in the kitchen and talked about the night's events.

We headed out to the park that afternoon, again with some amazing friends...We got home and decided it'd be fun to play out back. We got out Nash's tractor and he road until almost sundown!
